Skin DecodingWhat’s your skin type? Take this test and find out:
15 minutes after you wash your face, pat an oil blotter all over the surface.
Did the oil cover the entire oil blotter? You’ve got Oily Skin.
Did the oil mostly come from your T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin)? You’ve got Combination Skin.
Does it seem like the oil blotter wasn’t used at all? You’ve got Dry Skin.
CLEANSE
This is the first step in maintaining good skin. You know this is quite basic, but have you been doing it right? Is the soap in your soap dish the right one for you? Check this out:
If you have oily skin…
Opt for cleansers that come in gels or bars. You may want to check out Neutrogena Facial Wash for oily skin to help control the oil.
If you have combination skin…
You may use any form of cleanser, but don’t use a product that is specifically made for oily or dry skin.
If you have dry skin…
Cream-based or creamy cleansers are your best bet. Try Dove facial wash since it’s 1/4 moisturizer.
When washing your face, make sure you’re gentle on your skin. Also it is always best to pat dry your face with unscented facial tissue, since towels can sometimes spread more pimple-causing bacteria on your face. Posted by beautiful soul at 1:42 PM
